The Jeonju International Film Festival will run from April 29 to May 8, screening 237 films from 54 countries.

The opening film is My Private Artist, while the closing film is director Kim Hyun-ji’s documentary “Namtaeryeong”

The festival features international and Korean competition sections along with diverse programs and special screenings.

A special retrospective will honor the late actor Ahn Sung-ki.

Screenings will take place across five venues and 21 theaters in Jeonju, highlighting independent and art-house cinema.
