Project Y opened at No. 2 on the box office on its first day of release.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated box office system on the 22nd, the film attracted 24,404 moviegoers nationwide on its opening day, the 21st.

It ranked second on the daily box office, behind What If We, which has maintained the No. 1 spot for 11 consecutive days with 41,618 admissions.

The film is a crime drama that follows two friends living in a glamorous city who become entangled in a dangerous plot after stealing illicit money and gold bars worth 8 billion won.

Starring Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo, the film is drawing attention over whether general audience reactions will differ from its mixed early reviews.
