Director Bong Joon-ho’s latest film, 'Mickey 17', has surpassed 310,000 pre-sale tickets on its opening day, signaling a strong start at the box office.  

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing system, the film recorded a 68.5% reservation rate as of 7 AM, far ahead of competing titles.

This marks Bong’s first film in six years since *Parasite* and his debut in the sci-fi genre.

Starring Robert Pattinson, the film follows a cloned human named Mickey, with a production budget of $118 million.

'Mickey 17' tells the unpredictable story of Mickey, who faces his 17th near-death experience, only to find that a new version, ‘Mickey 18,’ has already been printed, leading to unexpected consequences.
