Girl group New Jeans and top singer Lim Young-woong were selected as singers who shone this year, respectively.

According to Gallup Korea, 5262 people over the age of 13 were asked about up to three favorite Korean pop singers/groups who were active this year (free response), and New Jinx topped the list with 25.7% support among those in their 30s and 39s, and Lim Young-woong topped the list with 37.8% among those in their 40s and older.

New Jinx is a five-member multinational girl group that debuted in July last year, rising from fourth place last year to first place this year.

BTS ranked second for this year's singer by those in their 30s or younger, IVE ranked third, IU ranked fourth, and BLACKPINK ranked fifth.
