Director Lee Won-seok's comedy "Killing Romance" was selected as the opening film of the 22nd New York Asian Film Festival and will be screened at Lincoln Center in New York on July 14 (local time).

The movie is a comedy about top star Yeorae (Lee Ha-nee), who left the entertainment industry, trying to escape her overbearing rich husband Jonathan (Lee Sun-kyun).

It is the first work in about 10 years by director Lee, who showed his unique "B-class sensibility" through "Man's Manual" (2013).

The New York Asian Film Festival is a film festival that introduces chapters and short films from Asian countries such as Korea, Hong Kong, China, and Japan to North American audiences.
